Q. What do I need to know about Privacy when using Padlet?
From the University Data Protection Officer:
- ‘Public’ should never be used (set your Padlets to Secret - they can still be accessed by whoever you share the link with, such as your students via NILE)
- Posts should avoid the sharing of personally identifiable information
- There is no need to ask students to sign up for a padlet account, as students can read/contribute to Padlets without needing to have an account
- If staff or students use Padlet they should log in through their MICROSOFT account to uon1.padlet.org, and know that they are accepting the terms and conditions of Padlet
