Alternative format service

We understand that the format that some information that we have created or hold may not be in the best to meet your needs. We are happy try to provide what you need in the format you need it in, whenever you need it! Use any of the ways to contact us and we will be happy to talk about how we can make our resources and services accessible for you. We try our best to do this but know we don't always get it right!

Academic support

Library and Learning Services provides academic support through the Academic Librarians, Learning Development and the Language Development Centre tutors, who are happy to talk to you about your studies and provide academic guidance. Tutorial sessions are available both online and in person and can be booked at a time that is suitable for you. You can also attend a drop-in session, use the Skills Hub, or the library website that are full of useful online resources. 

Further assistance

The University also provides support through ASSIST (which stands for Additional Student Support and Inclusion Services Team), they provide support for students with;

  • physical impairments
  • sensory impairments
  • mental health difficulties
  • medical conditions, for example epilepsy
  • Autistic spectrum disorders
  • specific learning difficulties, for example dyslexia.
