The time it takes for a resource to become available after you have requested it can vary. In most situations a resource will become available for collection 24 hours after a copy has been returned, and an email will be sent to you to inform you when it is ready for collection. However, the current user of the resource is not required to return it to the Library before its current due date.
In all cases the current borrower of the resource will be informed that one of their loans has been requested by another library user and they will not be able to renew the resource beyond the current due date.
In very rare circumstances personal emergencies (such as bereavement or illness) may prevent borrowers from returning materials on time. If you are concerned that an item you require will not be available in time for you to use it please contact us so we can help you find an alternative.
