Q. I have forgotten my NILE password. How can I get a new one?

If you need to get a new NILE password, but cannot remember what your current password is, please do the following:

Please be aware that this process will change ALL of your University of Northampton passwords*.


1. Go to: http://www.northampton.ac.uk/user and click on 'Forgot Password'.

2. Enter your username (your staff username or student number).

3. Enter the correct responses to your challenge and response questions.

**If you have not previously set your challenge and response questions, or if you do not know the answers, you will not be able to reset your password. If this is the case, please contact IT Services either in person at the Student Information Desk on the ground floor of the Learning Hub at Waterside Campus, or by calling them on 01604 893333.**

4. Enter a new password, and click on 'Submit'.

Enter new password


You will now be able to login to NILE and all other University IT systems with your new password.

*Please note that if you are a PebblePad user, your PebblePad password will remain unchanged by this process.
