Q. Where can I find support in redesigning my module(s) for semesterisation?

Answer

Learning Design are offering a range of CAIeRO workshops to support the transition to semesterised teaching.

If you:

  • don’t need to make changes to learning outcomes or assessments (e.g. Green or Amber level of readiness), but would like to take a fresh look at your module with semesterised teaching in mind, please choose the C@N-DO Storyboarding for semesterisation workshop.
  • have identified the need to make changes to assessments (e.g. Blue level of readiness), and would like to ensure constructive alignment in the module and mapping to the programme assessment strategy, please choose C@N-DO Assessment redesign for semesterised teaching.
  • want to use the opportunity of semesterisation to make more substantial changes to your module (including but not limited to assessments, e.g. Blue level of readiness), please choose C@N-DO CAIeRO for Individuals or Teams
  • want to make major changes to the structure of the programme as detailed on the Award Map (e.g. Purple level of readiness requiring a fundamental re-write of a large proportion of the programme to meet the requirements of semesterisation), contact Learning Design on LD@northampton.ac.uk to arrange a CAIeRO for your team.

Information is also available via the S.H.E.D. (Sharing Higher Education Design) NILE site (requires you to be logged in to NILE before accessing the Semesterisation link from the menu).

If you are interested in becoming a CAIeRO facilitator, you can find out more about training on offer here

Please contact LD@northampton.ac.uk to discuss further, and note it is not permitted to run CAIeROs for your own subject area.
