OneDrive is a cloud service that lets you store and protect your files, and allows you to get access to them from anywhere on any device. It's a very safe way to store and access your files and UON gives all students and staff 1TB of storage space to save your files to.

When using Office apps such as Word, Excel or Powerpoint it is possible to Save and Open files directly from OneDrive. The steps below show you how you can save and open your files within Office apps.

Save files in Office apps to OneDrive

1. At the top left of the menu bar select File

2. Click Save As or Save a Copy

3. Select OneDrive

Click on OneDrive which should be the first option below Recent

4. Enter a file name and click Save

Enter a name for your file in the text box and click the Save button to the right of the text box

Open OneDrive files in Office Apps

1. At the top left of the menu bar select File

2. Click Open

3. Select OneDrive

4. Search though the list of files that appear for the one you want to open and then click on it to open the files
