Spring Break Information

Library staff will be taking a well deserved break over the bank holiday weekend. We will be back in on Wednesday 3rd April at 9am but library services will still be running, and there are lots of UON teams onsite if you need them.

This guide shows you the process for installing Cloudflare onto your device. More information on what Cloudflare does can be found in our Cloudflare FAQs guide.

Installing Cloudflare

1. In the search bar of your device search "Software Center" and open the application

2. You will then be shown a screen with a list of applications. Click on Cloudflare Warp

Click the CloudFlare WARP icon located in the list of applications

3. Click Install

4. Once the install has completed you will need to click the Restart button to restart your device

5. A pop up will appear asking you to make sure all work on the device is saved. Click Restart on this pop up

Click the restart button which is located to the left of the cancel button at the bottom right of the Software Center pop up

6. After your device has restarted you will be able to see the orange Cloudflare icon in the application drawer on your taskbar

Click the App Drawer up arrow located next to the time at the bottom right of your taskbar. You should then see the CloudFlare icon under here which is shaped like a cloud.

If the orange cloud is visible no further action is required. Cloudflare will run in the background. If the cloud is visible but grey, then Cloudflare will need to be connected.

How to connect Cloudflare

1. Click on the grey Cloudflare icon in the application drawer on your taskbar

2. Click on the Slider button which should then turn blue and say Connected

If you go back to the application drawer the Cloudflare icon should now be orange.
