Q. How do I send emails to non-submitters from Turnitin?


Please do not use the 'Email non-submitters' feature from the Turnitin assignment inbox, shown in the image below. 

The feature for emailing non-submitters is a link at the top of the Turnitin Inbox table

There is currently an issue whereby some students who are no longer studying the module may be sent the email reminder. This causes confusion for those students incorrectly emailed. Instead, please use the Blackboard 'Send reminder' feature in the Grade Centre.

If the Turnitin assignment is being graded anonymously, the Blackboard 'Send reminder' feature will not be able to recognise which students have not yet submitted. In this case, you may consider sending a general announcement on the module which clearly states "If you have not yet submitted..." in the body of the announcement.

The Learning Technology team are working with IT services to resolve this issue for the academic year beginning in September 2020. This article will be updated when it is resolved.
