Reservations (also known as a 'hold', or a 'hold request') for loaned resources are not sent as this could lead to a large quantity of emails, causing them to get caught in spam and junk filters. Some resources are very popular, which means that multiple hold requests are often made and fulfilled within a short time. Instead, you can view your loaned resources on the library catalogue, view the due dates, and then plan accordingly. When you borrow a resource, always consider the due date as the date the resource will need to be returned, as renewals are not guaranteed. We do send out a reminder that your resources are due 48 hours before their due date.

Resources with hold requests cannot be renewed. When renewing your resources, ensure that the renewal attempt was successful by checking the new due date, and checking for any error messages (displayed in red text in the 'status' column). Also, double check the new due dates for each individual resource. If you are uncertain, you can always speak with a member of Library Staff, who will be happy to assist you.
