How do I reset my password after enrolment?

I need to reset my password

If you need to reset your UON password if you do not know it or it is not working please follow this process using the Self Service Password Reset Portal:

1. Open the Self Service Password Reset Portal: https://aka.ms/sspr
2. Enter your University email address in the email field
3. Enter the Characters shown in the CAPTCHA image into the box below them.
4. Press Next

5. Select “Email my alternate email” option
6. This should be already filled in for you
7. Press Email

8. Open a new tab or open your email program to access the alternate email address
9. Check the email shown for an email with a code in it and copy the code/ make a note of the code.
10.  Go back to the password change page
11. Enter/Paste the Code into the box on the screen shown
12. Press Next

13. This will then ask you to use a second verification code
14. Enter your mobile number you set on your enrolment process into the box provided
15. Press Text

16. A code should be sent to your phone
17. Enter the Verification code into the box provided
18. Press Next

19. This will then provide you with 2 prompts to enter your new password in.  (to see the requirements of a password please see this guide: https://askus.northampton.ac.uk/itservices/faq/276346)
20. Once both boxes have the same password in press Finish
21. This will then have reset your password and allow you access to UON systems.
