Students automatically join the library when they begin at the University. Once you are fully enrolled and your course has started you will be able to borrow resources and use the library, your Student University ID is also your library card and can be used to borrow books, and you can access digital resources through NELSON. We have guides to getting started at the library, and if you have any questions you can send them to us by email to libraryteam@northampton.ac.uk

Staff also automatically join the library when their contract begins, your staff University ID is your library card.

For everyone else, we have Membership options. Graduates of the University can apply for Alumni Membership, people who worked for the University previously can apply for Former Staff Membership, staff and students at other institutions that are part of the SCONUL scheme can apply for SCONUL Access Membership. We also have a paid Community Membership, for members of the public that would like to gain access to the library. Questions about membership can be sent to our Library Membership team by email to library.membership@northampton.ac.uk
