You should inform your relevant academic (your personal tutor or programme lead) if you are due to have a long-term absence from University work or placements.
The academic will inform you what steps will need to be taken and what impact your absence will have on your studies.
You will then be referred to the academic advisors to formalise your absence and return to study.
