How do I request a prison placement? I am a nursing student.

Nursing students can request a prison placement for one of their year 2 or year 3 placements (but not their final placement of year 3). Due to the enhanced checks that are required before a student can be placed in a prison, you must request a prison placement at least 12 months before the placement starts.

Requests are at the discretion of the Placements & Work-based Learning Team, Personal Practice Tutors, and the placement provider and cannot be guaranteed. Placement requests are also subject to capacity within the placement area, at the time of the Placements & Work-based Learning planning timescales.
