The printers can add a staple to a document. This setting can be selected before sending the document to print. The default is for ‘no stapling’, however you can choose to have 1 staple (added diagonally in the top left corner), or two staples (added on the long edge of the page).

You can also use this staple function at any time, not just when you're printing or copying. If you have already printed your document, you can use the stapler function by inserting the document into the staple shelf.

Once in place, press the green ‘staple’ button to apply a staple to your document.

Who can help me with stapling on the printers?

Library staff on the Library Help Desk on the 2nd floor of the Learning Hub are always happy to help. And there are lots of ways to contact IT Services if you need help or support with hardware or software:

You can visit IT Services on the ground floor of the Learning Hub: 

  • Mondays to Thursdays 8.30am to 5pm 

  • Fridays 10am to 5pm. 

You need to collect a paper ticket from the kiosk, and wait for your number to be called. You can wait in IT's service area, behind the glass screens to the right of the Student Information Desk.

  • Mondays to Thursdays 8am to 5pm 

  • Fridays 8am to 9am, and then 10am to 5pm. 

You can also raise a ticket in the IT Portal at any time.
