If you are wanting to edit, password protect, redact and have more access to different features within Adobe Acrobat, then you will need to install Adobe Acrobat Pro. Staff members can have access to this by getting their line manager to raise a service request with a business justification to the IT Self Service portal. Student will need to get their course lecturer to raise this request instead.
Staff members
1) If you are a staff member and want to install Adobe Acrobat Pro, please check to see if Adobe Creative Cloud is installed on your laptop. If not, search for and open 'Software Centre' on your UON laptop. If it is, skip to step 5.
2) Once you have opened this, find the 'Adobe Cloud' icon, like so:
3) Click on this icon and then click on 'Install'.
4) After it has finished installing, the Adobe Creative Cloud icon should then appear on your desktop.
5) Double click the icon on your desktop and it should then prompt you to sign in.
6) Enter your staff email address as the username. Then enter your standard UON password.
7) After some loading, it should then display a range of different applications. Find "Adobe Acrobat" and install.
The install can take up to 30 minutes. Once this has installed, it will now allow you to use Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Students
1) If you are a student and once you have confirmed been given an Adobe account, please go to the Adobe website and then download and install Adobe Creative Cloud.
2) It will then prompt you to sign into your Adobe account. Make sure you use your university student email address and standard UON password.
3) After some loading, it should then display a range of different applications. Find "Adobe Acrobat" and install.
The install can take up to 30 minutes. Once this has installed, it will now allow you to use Adobe Acrobat Pro.
