After you applied for Disabled Student's Allowance (DSA), your application with evidence will be reviewed by the Funding Body you applied through. When your application is approved, DSA will send you a DSA1 letter inviting you to attend an appointment for a Needs Assessment. This is not another diagnostic test, but it helps the DSA to match up the support you need to complete your studies with the support they can provide.

More information is available about what happens during a DSA Needs Assessment.

ASSIST (Additional Student Support and Inclusion Services Team)- If you have any additional needs, let ASSIST help you to access support you may need - Our drop-ins are now face-to-face, and there is no booking requirement.
