If you are unable to attend your exam due to illness, you may be able to apply for Mitigating Circumstances. Remember to attach as much evidence as possible to support your application.

Please note that students who attend an exam are declaring themselves as capable of sitting the exam. If you are taken seriously ill during an exam session, please apply for mitigating circumstances, although please be aware that approval is not guaranteed.

Further information on what Mitigating Circumstances is and how you can apply for Mitigating Circumstances can be found on the Policies web page on the Student Hub or alternatively on the Student Support and Advice Team's support page. If you have any questions, please contact a Student Support Officer at studentsupportofficers@northampton.ac.uk
