What are the changes to the DSA?

From 26 February 2024 there will be 2 suppliers contracted by the Student Loans Company (SLC) to provide students with their DSA service: Study Tech and Capita.  This will mean a simpler and faster experience for students as the new suppliers will guide them through the process from the point that eligibility for DSA is confirmed by SFE or SFW through to students’ receiving their specialist equipment and training.

Can I have my assessment at UON?

We regret to inform you that as part of the ongoing Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) reform, the Needs Assessment Centre (NAC) at the university will be closing with effect from 26 February 2024.  Students who are applying for the first time or for a new DSA award on a new course of study should apply on the website.
