Clearing is a service that UCAS offers, which enables universities to fill remaining spaces on their courses and give applicants the opportunity to find a place at university.

From 5 July 2024 you can use Clearing if one of the following applies:

  • You already have your exam results but you have no offers
  • You didn’t receive any offers or none that you wanted to accept
  • You didn’t meet the conditions of your offers
  • You’ve declined your firm place using the ‘decline my place’ button in UCAS Hub
  • You haven’t made any applications this year.
