Eduroam is a wifi hotspot for students and staff from UK universities. Visitors who are registered at other universities can connect to the Eduroam network at the University of Northampton, and students or staff from the University of Northampton can connect to the Eduroam network when visiting other locations after connecting onsite for the first time.

If you are staff or a student at another University you may be able to use the Eduroam wifi network. You will see Eduroam listed as an option of available wifi networks on your device. Speak to your home institution if you need assistance connecting to the network.

Alternatively, you can use the 'Guest' wifi network, which will ask you to register to connect, and then provide you with network access for the day. We have a guide to help you connect.

If you are a University of Northampton student or member of staff visiting another university and wish to connect via the Eduroam network, your login information for Eduroam is slightly different to logging in to the University wifi network. Your username will be your student number (or staff username) with '@northampton.ac.uk' after it. So, for example, if your student number is 1234567 your username becomes 1234567@northampton.ac.uk. Your password is your University password, that you use to log in to NILE.
