What are apprenticeship standards, and who is responsible for creating them?

Apprenticeship standards underpin all apprenticeships. They set out what an apprentice will be doing and the skills required of them, by job role. Standards are developed by employer groups known as ‘trailblazers’, in partnership with universities.

All the standards are explained by the Institute for Apprenticeships for each individual apprenticeship.
