ASSIST (the Additional Student Support and Inclusion Services Team) can help students to apply for Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA), which funds support such as a specialist mentoring and software depending on each student’s individual needs.

We have in-house autism support mentors. ASSIST also run an Autism Taster Day in September each year, you can contact us at assist@northampton.ac.uk to find out more details.

We run a dedicated event for new students with Autism and Autism Spectrum Conditions each September. The event provides an opportunity to learn about the support available from ASSIST and other University teams, as well as the Student Union, clubs and societies, and will provide a chance to meet other new students. We send information about the event to applicants who have declared ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) on their UCAS application. For more information email us at assist@northampton.ac.uk
