Q. I can't submit my assignment!

In the case of a technical problem please: 

  • Make sure you are using Google Chrome as your browser. Often clearing your browser cache and reset your browser to default can resolve problems. 
  • Contact your tutor by email prior to the deadline.
  • Contact LearnTech Support to inform them of your problem with details of the module and your tutor's name.
  • Check the NILE "Home" Tab to see if there is a service interruption or general disruption to TurnitinUK, or NILE.

If there is a disruption, submit as soon as possible once the problem clears. The University will be aware that there was a problem and extend deadlines accordingly.

Here are some common problems you might experience, and their solutions:

 

Problem: You have an agreed extension from your tutor but have previously submitted a draft version to Turnitin. When you try to submit a version after the due date, you cannot.

Solution: Contact your tutor. They need to delete your draft submission as only one more submission is permitted after the due date. LearnTech Support cannot do this for you without the written permission of your tutor, so please contact them first.

Problem: You have several documents to submit through Turnitin, but only one is accepted.

Solution : You need to combine your files as a single PDF. See : Submitting Portfolios

Problem: My file is too big to upload

We advise you to submit your assignment at least one working day before the assignment is due so there will be time to respond to any problems identified.
