Information about student access to NILE courses is available in both the gradebook and the analytics sections of each NILE course.

For more information about how to access this information, and how to use the messages tool in NILE to contact students who do not appear to be using your NILE course, please see the video linked below.

Messages sent from NILE courses are automatically sent via email to students' UON email addresses, and when messages are sent to multiple recipients from NILE the recipients are placed in the BCC field, ensuring that no one can see who else received the message. A copy of the message is retained in the NILE course and remains visible to both the recipient(s) and the member of staff who sent the message. However, note that messages can only be seen in NILE courses by the person who sent them and those people who received them, thus one member of staff cannot view messages sent to students by another member of staff.
