Announcement

On Monday 3rd February, you may experience problems accessing ebooks, ejournals or databases. This is because OpenAthens single sign-on service will be completing essential maintenance that may cause disruption. If you try to access eresources and have a problem, please wait and then try again. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.

We understand that accidents happen! Please don't worry about getting in contact with us to discuss the damaged item. You can contact us to let us know the item that has been damaged.

We'll have a look at the item to consider if it can be repaired, this is always our preference and often this is possible. If the item can't be repaired, we'll consider if it is still in a suitable condition to be used. If the item is no longer usable, we will then see if we will need to purchase a replacement. If a replacement is required there will be an invoice for the damaged item, although this is always our last resort!

If you borrow an item and find that it is already damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and provide us with the details. Ideally speak with a member of staff before borrowing the resource if possible, but otherwise send us an email as soon as you notice the damage.

How can I speak to staff at the library?

There are lots of ways you can contact us, any time of the day or night:
