We all need a bit of help from time to time and UON are here to help you. There are lots of different types of support available at the University of Northampton and this is a brief list of the main services, through which other types of support can be accessed.
There are lots of ways you can contact the library, any time of the day or night:
- email at libraryhelp@northampton.ac.uk
- our Chat service by clicking on the blue speech bubble at the bottom right of every page
- speaking with a member of library staff at the Library Help Desk, located on the second floor of the Learning Hub during staffed hours
- ask us a question using our 'Submit a Question' form
- call us on 01604 89 3089

ASSIST (Additional Student Support and Inclusion Services Team)- If you have any additional needs, let ASSIST help you to access support you may need - Our drop-ins are now face-to-face, and there is no booking requirement.
Drop-ins now run during term time: - Monday to Friday, 11:00 – 13:00
- Tuesday to Thursday, 13:30 – 15:30
You can find us in LH009, behind SID, during these times.

You can book a tutorial with our Academic Librarians, Learning Development, or Language Development teams to look at the resources and skills you need for your work

If you have any concerns about money or your loan, please contact the Finance Guidance Team as soon as you can

If you are having any issues with your studies, there are lots of ways to access support and you can decide which would be right for you

The Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Team draws from a number of faith traditions and works for the benefit of all students- regardless of faith

Student Information Desk are on hand throughout the day for any questions you have

Medical and Mental Health Services - If you have any medical or mental health need, please contact us as soon as you can

The International Student Support Service is here to help International Students with any aspect of their stay or studies

There is an on-site police presence at Waterside and there are lots of services and support that they can offer

There is an online system to report harassment or bullying behaviour

The Student Union is a great place for advice, along with getting involved in events and societies

There are also lots of helpful training videos available from LinkedIn Learning. As a student or staff member, you have free access to LinkedIn Learning. Here is a list of study skill videos available but there are so many more so feel free to have a browse.
