UON has been delivering Active Blended Learning for some time now and that includes some online learning. This can use the online meeting software Collaborate which you can access from a link sent directly to you or through NILE. If you are new to using Collaborate there is a help guide available. There is also contact information if you are having any difficulties.
The Skills Hub has a section providing guidance and tips about studying online. This includes guidance on attending online learning skills as well as tips for working collaboratively with others online, along with information about online assessments, tips for effective preparation for assessments, using ebooks, and more.
The Skills Hub also has information about writing online, which includes information on online assignments and discussion boards. The section on academic skills provides information on a wide range of topics, including dissertations.
UON also provide all students and staff with free access to LinkedIn Learning and there are lots of training videos on there that can help you.
