Placements differ from work-based learning in that they are often required by a Professional, Statutory or Regulatory Body, known as PSRB. In these cases, placement opportunities will usually be provided by the University (rather than asking students to arrange their own placement), because they need to meet specific requirements and be quality assured. If you need to include a placement in a programme or module, initially you should contact the Work Based Learning Team for advice. They have established relationships with many providers as well as experience of setting up new agreements.
