Printing with PrintWeb

If you are using the printers for the first time please register your card.

Printing is managed by IT Services, they can be contacted to offer guidance and answer questions about printing. 

Printing is only available to staff and students of the University of Northampton. Please note that there is no printing facility for visitors or Associate Members (including SCONUL). 

Documents can be sent to the printers across campus using the online system called ‘PrintWeb’. You will need to login with your University ID (student number or staff username, followed by your password). Once sent, you will be able to 'release' (print out) your document from any printer on campus.

A quick overview on printing 

1. Login to the PrintWeb service with your University Student number/ Staff username and password.

2. Click ‘Web Print’, then ‘Submit a job’. You will need to select the format for printing from the listed options then click to continue; 

  • BW or Colour refers to whether you want the document printed in black and white, or in colour

  • Then choose whether you are submitting an A3 or A4 document and whether you would like to print single- sided or double- sided

3. Choose how many copies you would like to print, then click to continue

4. Upload the document you would like to print. The document needs to be saved to your device or saved in your OneDrive. Once done, click to continue

5.  Find a printer and login with your University ID and password.

6. Release the document to print from a University printer. If you haven't used the printer before, you will need to register your card for the first time.

7. Select the item you would like to print

8. Press Print to print out your file.

If you see a charge for printing, please ignore this as credit is no longer required.

Our opening times are:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8am to 5pm
  • Friday: 8am to 9am and then 10am to 5pm
