My mentor can see my PebblePad workbook, why can't they write anything on it?

I have shared my PebblePad workbook with my mentor (clinical assessor / practice assessor / practice supervisor / practice educator / supervisor)

Answer

The wrong type of share

If you have shared your PebblePad workbook and your mentor can open and view it, but can't click in the assessor fields or leave any feedback; then you have done the wrong type of share. The image below shows how this will look for your mentor.

Green and blue labels show the type of share having been done

When you share your workbook with your mentor, you need to choose 'Share with an external assessor'. What you have done, is choose 'share with people'. You should break that share with them.

In your assets, if you see the Shared with people icon is blue (solid), then you have done 'share with people' and not 'share with an external'. This is the wrong type of share.

Often you would accidentally do 'share with people' rather than 'share with external assessor' if you are sharing the wrong workbook or version of your workbook (or an individual worksheet). This is because you can only share with your mentor if you have first submitted your work. This is just one reason.

Please view the information in the links provided below to help you troubleshoot and resolve this yourself.

Important!
You must make sure you now break the incorrect share.

  • Click on the Shared with people icon, as shown in the image above.
  • Click on the Rubbish Bin icon to break the share.
