Library and Learning Services (LLS) staff are available within the Learning Hub. Several teams make up LLS and we are all here to help you. We have a guide that explains in more detail what each team does and the ways you can contact them, with lots of videos and information.
Service Development
Service Development can deal with all general enquiries and if you are not sure who you need to speak to, we are a great place to start. You can contact us by:
- email at libraryhelp@northampton.ac.uk
- our Chat service by clicking on the blue speech bubble at the bottom right of every page
- speaking with a member of library staff at the Library Help Desk, located on the second floor of the Learning Hub during staffed hours
- ask us a question using our 'Submit a Question' form

Academic Librarians
The Academic Librarians have lots of guides for you, and ways to contact them:
- a guide for your subject, with helpful information and links
- you can see one of the team in-person, in a tutorial
- or there are also online tutorials
- there are guides to help you with referencing
- and you can email the team at librarians@northampton.ac.uk
Learning Development
The Learning Development team are happy to help you with your academic, writing and study skills. There are also staff who can help you with your Maths and Stats skills, including using SPSS:

- or an online tutorial
- The Skills Hub has lots of online guides and information
- Learning Development have a daily drop-in during term time, that you don't need to book. The Maths and Stats team have a drop-in twice a week.
Learning Technology
Learning Technology provide help and support for NILE, Turnitin and PebblePad, and digital skills:
- they have Frequently Asked Questions that cover NILE, Turnitin, PebblePad, Kaltura and other platforms and software
- in-person tutorials to help you improve your digital skills, like;
- How to use your laptop, including saving and managing files
- Searching the internet
- Using your University of Northampton email address
- Padlet, PebblePad, Kaltura
- Basic Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Using LinkedIn Learning
- NILE
- finding your way around,
- submitting assignments
- joining online collaborate session.
Language Development Centre
The Language Development Centre are here to help International Students access support and guidance to help develop Academic and General English Language skills. You can see the team:
