Tutorials can be booked to meet with an Academic Librarian. A tutorial is a free appointment, you book a session in advance. Academic Librarians have tutorials:
During this time the Academic Librarian can provide you with guidance and tuition on skills such as:
- finding information
- referencing
- using NELSON
- search techniques
- Google Scholar
- searching for literature
- evaluating sources
- using subject databases
- exploring keywords
- recording your search.
We have a guide to booking a tutorial or you can book now through our online booking system.
We also have guides with videos that show attending tutorials, so you'll know what to expect.
You can chose how you want to meet when you book the tutorial and it will be confirmed in your student email.
You can also email librarians@northampton.ac.uk Please include your name, student number and course / module title.
There are also guides available for your subject.
We have a video about using the booking system:
