We welcome graduates, alumni and anyone who was associated with the University of Northampton as either staff or students to continue to use the Library but the access you have will change. When you are an enrolled student or a member of paid staff you have access to all the physical books and journals and can access other University facilities like laptop loans and printing. You are also able to access NELSON and the e-journals and e-books that the University provide.
When you graduate, you have access to NILE for 30 days after graduation to allow you remove your own content, but all other access to University systems will stop immediately. This includes NELSON and all full text e-resources and other paid for services. This is outside of the Library's control as it is a licensing issue and the licenses only allow access to enrolled students and paid staff. If you leave under any other circumstance, including a study break, then all access will stop immediately. If you are on a study break, then your access to the systems and all Library resources will start again when you become an enrolled student again.
You are welcome to join the Library as an Associate Member and this will allow you access to the Learning Hub and some limited borrowing rights. Full information and membership application form can be found here.
