The Language Development Centre are here to support you with academic English, if English is not your first language. They can help you develop your academic assignments so that you can communicate effectively in different academic contexts. They can help you in person in tutorials, workshops and will also be developing a range of online resources to help you develop your skills.

You can book to see the Language Development Centre for a 30-minute tutorial;

We also have a help guide available for booking a tutorial.

We also have online resources about all the skills you need to study, like writing, searching and personal skills on our Skills Hub which all students are welcome to use. You might find it useful to borrow something from our English as a Foreign Language (EFL) collection of resources. You can find these on the fourth floor of the Learning Hub, near the laptop cabinets and printers, near to room LH403.
