Where do I find First Aid boxes and equipment?

Where are First Aid boxes located?

At Waterside, First Aid boxes can be found in kitchenettes in staff areas throughout, cleaning cupboards, reception areas, sports zone, student village reception, Logistics Hub, Multi faith centre, Engine Shed, Visitor Centre, creative hub, learning hub and Senate. They are also located at St Johns Halls and Scholars Green. 

The security team have their own first aid "grab bags" that they take with them on every first aid call out.

First Aid Boxes are clearly marked with a white cross on a green background and can be removed from their wall bracket and taken to the scene of an incident.

Where are eye wash stations located?

The eyewash stations can be found alongside the first aid kits.

Where are the defibrillators?

Defibs are located in all buildings a the Waterside Campus, plus Park Campus, Resource Centre, Development Hub, Logistics Hub, Sports Pavilion, First Aid room. You can view the Defibrillator location list for details of the equipment.

How do we get our First Aid boxes restocked?

The first aid boxes are regularly checked by the Campus Security team to ensure they are fully stocked and the contents are ‘in date’. If consumables from the first aid box have been used in an incident or found to be missing, contact Campus Security and request replacements.

Where can I get a travel First Aid kit?

Travel first aid kits are provided by the University for staff led group visits in the UK and abroad. The kit can be requested by the group leader by emailing safety@northampton.ac.uk with the kit to be collected from the Safety team at an agreed date. Once the group returns from the visit it is requested that the kit is returned to the Safety team.
