How do I get a voucher for an eyesight and eye test?
There is an Eye Test form available (log in required), complete this form and get your manager to sign it. You can then upload it, or drag and drop it, to our online form or you can email it to safety@northampton.ac.uk
What if I need a pair of spectacles specifically for computer work?
UON will pay for glasses for Display Screen Equipment work if the test shows an employee needs special glasses prescribed for the distance the screen is viewed at. If an ordinary prescription is suitable, employers do not have to pay for glasses.
I need to wear prescription safety goggles. Can you provide them?
Yes, a voucher for prescription safety goggles can be obtained from the Health and Safety team once you have completed the Eye Test Form.
What do I do with my completed form?
When you have downloaded and completed your form, please save it to your device. You can then upload it, or drag and drop it, to our online form or you can email it to safety@northampton.ac.uk You can also use either of those ways to contact us if you have a question.
