Downloading the MyNorthampton App
You can access the MyNorthampton App by using the link on the University of Northampton Student Hub homepage or by downloading this from the app store to your mobile phone or tablet, just search for MyNorthampton.
Logging in to the MyNorthampton App
To log in to the MyNorthampton App you will need to use the same username and password that you use to access the Student Hub and NILE.
NILE
The NILE tab within the app will take you straight to NILE.
If you have any problem logging into NILE from the app or from your own device, please check with the Student Information Desk that they have all the information they need from you.
Calendar
The Calendar tab in the app will take you to your student outlook calendar, associated with your University email address. You can also access your timetable and your exam times.
If you don't see your timetables then try logging out and back in again. If this doesn't resolve the issue, then log a ticket with the Digital Apps resolver team, who will be happy to help. You can do this in the IT Services self-service portal, using the New Service Request tile:
You can also email the team at digitalapps@northampton.ac.uk
If you see the wrong time displayed, you need to check the time settings as the UK adjust the time twice a year. This is called GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and GMT+1, also known as BST (British Summer Time).
If you are still having problems and need quick access to your timetable, then use the timetable portal. We have a guide available if you need some help navigating to your timetable.
Attendance
The Attendance tab will ask you to input a code given to you by your tutor to confirm your attendance.
You can also select the lesson from the lesson list.
If the code is not accepted, don't worry! Just ask your lecturer to mark you as having attended. Confirm they have marked you as having attended as this is not something IT Services can do - it must be your lecturer.
I'm having problems with the MyNorthampton app, who can help me?
If you are a lecturer and having problems registering student attendance, please log this with IT Services.
Student information in MyDay or Attendance can take 24 hours from completion of their registration. The system updates every 12 hours but please allow 24 hours so all systems can sync before contacting IT Services.
