Resources that have been requested by others users (known as a 'hold' or a 'hold request') need to be returned by their due date. This ensures fair access to the resources for all library users.

Fines are charged on resources that are overdue whilst they have been requested. These fines accrue at the rate of £1 per resource per day.

If you are unable to return the item in person, you can post it to us at the following address via Recorded Delivery;

Service Development Team

Library and Learning Services

Waterside Campus

University Drive

We also advise posting it before the due date, to avoid fines accruing whilst the resource is in transit.

If you are going to be away from the University and unable to return your resources in person by the due date, we would encourage you to instead consider which eResources would be available to you via NELSON.
