How do I return books to the library?

On the Waterside campus

There are lots of places you can return your books:

• The returns machine on the ground floor of the Learning Hub, or the slot next to it
• Book return bins on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor of the Learning Hub
• Outside book drop bins to the right of the main entrance to the Learning Hub and outside the main entrance.

All of these returns points are available 24 hours a day but only the returns machine will take the item off the account immediately, other return points may take up to 72 hours. Please return all School Experience Kits and Medical Models to the library help desk on the 2nd floor of the Learning Hub during our staffed hours. 

If you have any problems returning any library item, including School Experience kits or laptops at night or on a weekend, it can be dropped to the Student Information Desk on the ground floor of the Learning Hub. they will look after it until we can take it off your account. 

Off campus

Don't worry if you can't return the resources in person, just send an email to us at library.returns@northampton.ac.uk and we will get back to you with details of our alternative return arrangements.
