Most library resources can be borrowed for up to four weeks, although some resources can only be borrowed for one week at a time. These items are called 'One-Week Loans' and can be spotted by a yellow 'OWL' (One-Week Loan) sticker on the spine (side) of the book. We have a full list of all the loan types and rules.

The School Experience collection is borrowed for a different length of time for Student Teachers. For example, Student Teachers can borrow from the School Experience Collection for 3 months. This is because the books and items will be used in a school on placement, so the loan is longer. Other types of students can borrow School Experience items for one week.

If nobody has requested the book you have borrowed, they can normally be renewed up to fifteen times, this means that you can borrow the book for longer. You can view your due dates and renew your loaned resources on your library account.
