Here is a list of items and how often they can be renewed by staff and students:
- 4-week loans can be renewed 15 times
- 1-week loans can be renewed 15 times
- School experience items are borrowed for a term (12 weeks) to teacher training students and can be renewed twice
- School experience items lend for 1-week for students and staff who are not teacher trainers and can be renewed twice
- Laptops lend for 6 hours and cannot be renewed as they lend without a charger.
How do I renew my books?
Your library account is inside NELSON. We have a guide available for renewing your loans and a video for you to watch:
Why can't I renew my items then?
If you are not able to renew, you will see a black ‘not renewable’ padlock.
If you hover your curser over the padlock, or click on it on a touchscreen, a pop-up will tell you why it is not renewable. If you are not sure why you can’t renew or you think you should be able to renew, it may be because of the rules we have about loans.
There are a few reasons you may not be able to renew your items. We have a guide explaining the reasons and how you can get help from us.
