The library holds many different collections of resources. The library has several physical collections, these are the hundreds of thousands of books and DVD's and CD's and kits that are located within the Learning Hub.

If you are interested in borrowing a resource from our collection, have a look at our introduction to borrowing and returning library resources.

We also have a guide if you have never used a library before, or not for a long time, and you want to know more about how libraries work with books and services.

Some of these resources are also digital and available online, for example the books and journals that you can access through NELSON. You can walk through the Learning Hub and see what is on the shelves but if you are looking for resources to help you with your studies you will need to work on your searching skills to find what you need. There are lots of guides, videos and practical support to help you learn and practice your search skills to find the resources you need! We have a guide to help you to log in to NELSON.

I want some help with looking for and using library resources, like books and journals

The Academic Librarian team are happy to help you with resources. You can book to see them in-person or online, or you can look through the search skills information on the Skills Hub. You can also email them at librarians@northampton.ac.uk You will also find information on your information skills page.
