You can keep your borrowed library resources over vacation periods, for example the summer break if you will be coming back in autumn to continue your course. Be aware that they will need renewing in that time and we will send you email reminders to your student email address. Your library item might need to be if another student has requested it, and you would not be able to renew it. We recommend your consider ebooks and ejournals if you are away from campus for a long period of time.
Library resources can be returned at the library returns point on the ground floor of the Learning Hub, opposite the large wall-mounted screen. Resources can also be returned to the external book bins outside the Learning Hub 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You can also return items free of charge with our postal returns service.
Most resources can be renewed up to fifteen times, provided they have not been reserved by other users. If you are unable to renew your resources, they will need to be returned.
If you have finished studying, or are taking an extended study break, please return all library resources as soon as you can. You are also able to use the postal return service even after you have left.
